About Us
The Triumph Foundation was established in Brunswick, Georgia by Dr. and Mrs. Michael Lupi. It was founded to help provide services for individuals diagnosed with Autism or an Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Triumph Foundation will function as a multi-faceted organization, partnering with local organizations offering services such as physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, hippotherapy and respite care. The foundation will also provide social services such as support groups, camps, educational and autism awareness events. Independent Psychological counseling for individuals with autism and their family members will also be available.
Autism is one of the fastest growing childhood disorders in the United States, affecting as many as 1 in every 150 children, and continues to grow at a pace of 10-17% a year. At this rate, the ASA estimates that the prevalence of autism could reach 4 million people in the next decade, yet access to quality care and treatment remains inconsistent across the nation. It is crucial for these children and their families to have a community based support system. As we know personally, having a child with Autism can be very emotionally and physically debilitating for a family. Without community support these families will continue to struggle to find help with even the most routine daily tasks.
Due to the positive response to early intervention, we now have the opportunity to make a tremendous impact on individuals with Autism and an economic impact on our society. The lifetime net financial cost savings per individual who receives early intervention can be 2 million dollars. The improved quality of life for individuals with Autism and their families is immeasurable.
